Little Goose Lake is located 6.7 mi southeast of Okanogan in Okanogan County in the Okanogan River watershed. The lake is surrounded by gently rolling hills covered with bunchgrass and sagebrush. The area around the lake shows signs of heavy grazing. . Aquatic macrophytes were found from the lake margin to just below 2.5 m. Myriophyllum exalbescens dominated within this band whereas Potamogeton pusillus L. was restricted to shallower zone of less than 1.25 m depth. Scattered plants of Polygonum coccineum Muhl. were found around the lake. Little Goose Lake is a closed lake with no visible outlet. It undergoes large fluctuations in water level as a result.
